It wasn’t even close, which goes to show you how little attention most people paid to the realities that were everywhere but inside their mushy little craniums. The T.V. and tabloids did get one thing right…this was an historic event. Not since Germany in the late 1930s have so many, given up so much, so easily.

After singing a few choruses of the new president-elect’s praises, one commentator remarked, “We don’t actually know who he really is!” The other replied, “Ya. I guess we’ll have to wait ’til after January 20th to find out; we just don’t know that much about him.” Yes you do. You simply chose to look the other way like all the other sheep. What a terrific way to elect the most powerful man in the world! Sour grapes? You bet! I love this country; she has treated me well.

How interesting to read about the unbridled joy of so many foreign countries over the results of today’s election. Our close, warm, personal friends in Russia, Iran, Syria, et al cheer at our weakness. Meanwhile France, Germany, England, and so many others are ready to welcome us into their sheared Socialist flock with open arms. I have just one question: We’ve sort of made a career out of being the big dog on the farm. When the wolves start pawing at the sand in front of their gate, who’s going to save their butts this time…a listless America that lives in the same barnyard?

God bless us all. We’re going to need it. I’m going to bed.

Imagine a scenario where a radical European Socialist with an unchecked majority of supporters in Congress have taken over the government. Now imagine they have legislated away your freedom and taken control of your life; you are no longer an individual but merely one of the masses contributing to the welfare of a political state!

Far Left Liberals like Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and John Murtha determine what you are permitted to see, hear and do…what medical care you are permitted, how much you are allowed to earn, where and how you may live. Presidential advisers like William Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan and Rashid Khalidi occupy Cabinet positions.

Our national defense has been placed in the hands of the United Nations. Israel has ceased to exist while the matter is being ‘negotiated’ with Iran. The Supreme Court is dominated by justices who have rewritten our Constitution and legislate from the bench.

You can make this and more come true on November 4th if you support Obama’s counter-American agenda or if you don’t go out and vote to, at least, offset the ballot of some guy living in a cardboard box that has been illegally registered by Obama operatives.

Just as I began working on what I hoped would be a particularly insightful article, I read a piece in Newsmax by Michael Reagan that expressed my thoughts precisely and with clear context.  I thought you should read it:

The other day, I went to a Hollywood luncheon crammed with producers, directors, writers, and other film industry notables.

One of them, Larry Gelbart of “MASH” fame, spoke telling the group that since capitalism has failed, why don’t we try socialism?

Try socialism? Take a sip of it and see how it tastes? It doesn’t work that way.

There’s an old saying that you can’t be half-socialist any more than you can be half-pregnant; get knocked up with a socialist fetus and you’ll have to deliver a full-born Marxist. There’s nothing in between. Try it, you’ll like it; and if you don’t, as the lads in the Gestapo used to tell people, they had ways to make them like it.

Larry Gelbart gorged himself at the capitalist table and came away with untold millions, now safely banked, and continues to collect even more millions from never-ending reruns of the “MASH” sitcom. Having made his bundle from our capitalist free-enterprise system, he seems to be telling us now that the rest of us should get in the socialist bread line and eat crumbs while he feasts on caviar.

One of the realities of this age is that the great mass of the American people haven’t traveled abroad to see how the rest of the world lives, a lot of it under dreary socialist regimes with stalled economies and no real chance for advancement for the ordinary citizen.

Moreover, our shoddy educational curriculum that has left most younger Americans so deficient in the study of history that vast numbers of them think George Washington was a Civil War general, or a lumberman who chopped down cherry trees. They have no real understanding of the economic system that allowed us to become the wealthiest and most powerful nation since the Roman Empire ruled most of the known world 2,000 years ago.

Given that mournful reality, the moment the economic Rolls Royce engine that drove this nation to the top of the hill stalls, instead of installing new spark plugs to get it going again, they go looking for an alternative mode of transportation.

In the present case, Obama and the Democrats are directing them to Larry Gelbart’s used-economic system lot where he shows them a jalopy with a fancy paint job on the outside and a one-cylinder motor inside that goes chug-chug.

Listening to the advice of a man who made his name and his money on a show about America’s military at war — yet told the same audience that our armed forces are nothing but “mercenaries” — doesn’t seem the smartest thing to do.

We are now a few days away from an election in which one of the presidential candidates is trying to sell that jalopy on Larry Gelbart’s lot and convince us that it is really a luxury limo that will get hundreds of miles to the gallon and carry us off to the promised land, where the rich will be impoverished and the middle class enriched and everybody will be deliriously happy.

Call Barack Obama’s program socialism, however, and he’ll swear on a stack of Qurans it isn’t. He calls it change. He says it’s fairness, not Marxism.

Oh?

How does he explain the proven fact that he has been wallowing in a sty surrounded by fervent socialists and sharing in their swill for most of his life?

According to Fox’s Bill Sammon, his messiahship recalled that when he attended Occidental College in Los Angeles “to avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully,” he wrote in “Dreams From My Father,” his memoir. “The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists.” And that was his milieu for all his years in Chicago.

To anyone familiar with socialism, Obama’s programs fit comfortably within the pages of Karl Marx’s playbook, the root of which is the redistribution of the wealth, the key to the entire Obamian vault.

What’s mine is yours, and he’s the middle man.

It’s socialism lite, and it can only evolve into socialism heavy. Remember, you can’t be half-socialist, and Barack Obama knows it.

The only questions I have are:  What the heck is a “Structural Feminist”?  Is this some kind of woman built out of an erector set or one who just looks that way?  The other, more serious question, has to do with Obama’s “careful choice of friends”.  As he tries desperately to distance himself from Wright, Ayers, Khalidi, Resco, Farrakhan, the Acorn group and the all the rest, is there any reason to believe he has recently stopped being as careful as he used to be with his choices?

On Election Day, will you cast your vote for America or for Obama’s Socialist tyranny?

Socialism is merely a ’soft’ term for Communism. Instituting that failed ideology is the change Barack Obama and an unchecked Democrat majority in Congress would make.   Obama himself has made this quite clear. He talks about collectivist cornerstones like redistribution of wealth, more government control and calls our Constitution a “flawed document which doesn’t go far enough”. There is even talk of a new Bill of Rights that will state what the government can do “on your behalf”.

The original documents, which have guided America to greatness for more than 200 years, intentionally limit the power of government to prevent a recurrence of the tyranny our Founding Fathers experienced under British rule. It is that same tyranny Obama and the Democrats would reintroduce through bigger, stronger government with less liberty for the rest of us. Keep in mind:  no one knows what is best for you, better than you!

For those who may be too young to understand the meaning of Socialism or too old to remember the evils of Communism, which enslaved Russia and many Central European countries throughout the last half of the 20th Century, let me give you a brief description. It is a practice whereby government takes away your freedom and person rights, including those of speech, deed and ownership. The government then controls your life instead of you. It is a system that, by its very nature, stifles personal initiative and inhibits progress. It does not take wealth from the rich and give it to the poor in the fabled fashion of Robin Hood; rather, Socialism takes away from the middle class and gives to no one, thereby making everyone equally miserable. Eventually, the middle class simply disappears.  This is the way it works, no matter what Liberal politicians or college professors tell you. Don’t believe me, just look around the world!

The thing that amazes me is how blind the American people have become…how self-involved, mindless and gullible. Jews, who said, “Never again!” after the Holocaust in the 1940s are ready to vote for Obama who is a friend to Palestinians and doesn’t view Iran as a threat. Blue collar workers, who stand to be hurt most by higher taxes and lost jobs, are looking to Obama’s inexperience and empty promises, instead of trusting John McCain’s steady hand.

Blacks who decry slavery, during the early years of this country, are ready to sell themselves back into obedience just because the task master happens to be of their skin color. May I remind you that it was Blacks who originally sold their brothers and sisters to the White slavers?  Let me also remind you that Barack Obama is NOT fully African-American? He has an equal amount of White genetic material coursing through his veins and made a choice to be Black. In today’s society, he could have just as easily opted for a different self-image.

By any other color, at the end of the day, Obama is simply a radical like William Ayres, Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, Rashid Khalidi, Father Flager or any of his other friends and associates. Like them, he represents a danger to America and the precious freedom we have always enjoyed in this country but have so easily take for granted. Either protect it on November 4th or be prepared to lose it!

Be prepared to lose your freedom of speech, right to bear arms and ownership of personal property. Be prepared to be told how to live, where to live, where to work, how much you can earn, what kind of car to drive, what doctor to see (or if you can see one at all), which medications you’re permitted, what schools you can attend, which books you’re allowed to read, how to vote, and which investments the government will make to fund your meager retirement. This is just for openers. Obama’s appointment of Liberal judges will make it an easy transition for courts’ jurisdictions to include legislative as well as legal powers.  Then they can do anything to us!  Excuse me. Barack says, “On our behalf.”

We already see a creeping Socialism with the government all but nationalizing banks, mortgages and real estate, regulating the auto industry and laying ground work to nationalize our oil industry. In addition to legislation and judicial fiat, just about anything can be mandated in the catch-all category of global warming! If more power is needed, it can be obtained by gutting the First and Second Amendments as well as constructing a new Obama Bill of Rights.

At a pivotal time in the history of our Republic, when we most need a strong leader, be wary of electing a mere messenger…a messenger who speaks with a forked tongue…who carries false promises and offers dreams that, in truth, only you yourself can fulfill. However you think George Bush should be remembered, don’t let his legacy be America’s epitaph.

John McCain is proposing lower taxes for everyone.  The Obama media, and the rest of his campaign, interpret this as tax cuts for the wealthy.  Senator Obama has promised to increase taxes on high wage earners and reduce them for the other 95% of Americans, 40% of whom aren’t even paying taxes…thus providing them with what amounts to welfare.  Sound complicated?  It really isn’t, if you remove the political spin.

One of the clearest explanations of both the truth and consequences of South Side Barry’s tax plan was written by Dr. David Kamerschen, Ph.D., Professor of Economics at the University of Georgia.  It goes like this:

Suppose that, everyday, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100.  If they pay their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would break down as follows:

The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing
The fifth would pay $1
The sixth would pay $3
The seventh would pay $7
The eighth would pay $12
The ninth would pay $18
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59

So that’s what they decided to do.  The ten men drank in the bar each day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day the owner threw them a curve.  “Since you are all such good customers” he said, “I’m going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20.  Drinks for the ten men now cost just $80.

The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes, so the first four men were unaffected.  They would still drink for free.  But what about the other six men…the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his ‘fair share’?  They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33 but, if they subtracted that from everybody’s share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer.

Hearing their dilemma, the bartender suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man’s bill by roughly the same amount and he proceeded to calculate the amounts that each should pay, and so:

The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing - (100% savings)
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 - (33% savings)
The seventh now paid $5 instead  of $7 - (28% savings)
The eighth now paid $9 instead of @12 - (25% savings)
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 - (22% savings)
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 - (16% savings)

Each of the six was better off than before…and the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings.  “I only got $1 out of the $20,” declared the sixth man.  He pointed to the tenth man, “but he got $10!”  Yeah, that’s right,” exclaimed the fifth man. “I only saved a dollar, too!  It’s unfair that he got ten times more than I did!” “That’s true!!” shouted the seventh man.  “Why should he get $10 back when I got only $2? The wealthy get all the breaks!” “Wait a minute!” yelled the first four men in unison, “We didn’t get anything at all!  The system exploits the poor!”   The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.

The next night, the tenth man didn’t show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him.   But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important.  They didn’t have enough money among all of them for even half of the bill!

…And that boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen, journalists, college professors, T.V. anchors and Mr. Barack Hussein Obama is how OUR tax system works.   The people who pay the most in taxes derive the greatest benefit from a tax reduction.  Tax them too much or attack them for being wealthy and they just may not show up anymore.

In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier. And just where do you suppose ‘The Messiah’ is going to get the fish and loaves to ‘anoint’ the folks that didn’t pay into the system at all?

For those who understand, no explanation is needed.  For those who don’t understand, no explanation is possible.

You want change? Well, we’re being served two different dishes: A nourishing diet of experienced, evolutionary progress on one hand and, on the other, dangerous helpings of extremist ideology that give you two nickels and a dime for a quarter, while placing your family’s safety at risk for the good of the few. Politics has a short menu.

Much of the problem lies in the fact that most people started paying attention to the campaigns only a few weeks ago and most of their information comes from the morning paper or the eleven o’clock news. They mistake known facts about Obama’s radical alliances, many of which came to light several months ago, as some kind of last ditch Republican effort to discredit him. Their “gimme’ some mania” combined with a complete media sellout masks Obama’s own failed European Socialist philosophies as something new and different. While John McCain looks forward to a future of freedom and renewed American greatness, Barack Hussein Obama robotically marches to the tunes of Karl Marx and Joseph Stalin with children mindlessly singing his praises, much as they paid tribute to Hitler in the 1930s and 40s.

If Obama’s own words to ‘Joe The Plumber’ about redistribution of wealth don’t make you cringe; if Biden’s warnings about his inexperience and guarantees of a world crisis should Obama be elected don’t terrify you; if promises to raise taxes and $100 billion in new spending don’t infuriate you;  if all that doesn’t send a chilling message to the electorate, then they deserve whatever they get and have no right to complain when they get it. The problem is, those of us with rational, functioning minds have to pay the price right along with the mentally challenged. If you haven’t heard the  Mark Levin “Rules For Radicals” audio segment, I urge you to listen and learn before it’s too late.

When you have a Democrat Congress with an anemic 9% approval rating, which has done nothing of value since they gained dominance, does it make any sense to vote for an even greater Democrat majority? When you’ve been criticized for clinging to your guns, bibles and holding on to your values … when you’ve been labeled as “redneck racists” as have the good people of Pennsylvania, do you really want to give these elitist hacks power over your lives? Michigan really takes the cake. They’ve been the poster child for recession since the 90s under Democrat incompetents.  So far, they’re leaning toward the very same Party that has cast them helplessly adrift and now wants to slam the lid and flush the bowl!

Even as I travel around my own area, I notice the deeper I get into blue collar neighborhoods the more Obama lawn signs I see. It is said that an abused child tends to gravitate toward the abuser; I can only assume that the same syndrome is at work here. Why else would intelligent, hard-working people believe the tales being spun by the very political entities which, in truth, look down on them and will hurt them the most?

Maybe it’s too late to market that do-it-yourself lobotomy thing after all.  Just in case you’ve already experimented with one, don’t worry about poking your finger into the wound … there’s nothing in there.

Anyway, I was wrong about the historical significance of Barry’s statement. Not to be outdone by the boss, Joe Biden stepped up today and warned, “Mark my words! If we’re elected, Obama will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in office.” Imagine the reaction if a Republican had said that? He even guaranteed it and former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright agrees!

Gee, it would be just like John Kennedy with the ‘Cuban Missile Crisis’. Obama already fantasizes that he’s J.F.K.; I’ll bet he can’t wait! Do you suppose it will be another attack on the U.S. or just Iran wiping Israel off the face of the Earth? Maybe Russia will try to reassemble more of the former Soviet Union or China enforce its claim to Taiwan. Meanwhile, Joe from Scranton [or is it Delaware?] concedes that, because of his experience, John McCain probably would not face such a test.

So let’s see: With Obama we get a crushing tax burden, failed socialist policies, radicalization of our children, weakened national security, destruction of the First and Second Amendments, a Liberal Supreme Court for the next couple of decades, terrorist advisers in the White House and chaos in the world to test his inexperience. Hm-m-m, sounds like a good deal to me. Oh, let’s not forget that with Obama we also get ‘The First Mama’ who hates White oppressors and thinks America is a mean country in the first place.

For once I agree with Joe Biden. Not only will Obama be tested but third rate madmen all over the world are salivating at the prospect of an all Democrat regime who will oppose them with the same limp-wristed policies as did the Clinton clan. By the way Joe, how much are the McCain people paying you to say stuff like this?

If you’ve read my blog in the past, you know I’ve never been a huge John McCain fan. He does, however, offer four credentials requisite for the survival of America and the preservation of our freedom; that’s why he gets my vote.

1. John McCain understands there are terrorists at the gate who have sworn to our death and our country’s destruction at any cost.
2. He will not turn us into a government owned, collectivist society.
3. He will appoint judges to the bench who respect our Constitution as written, thus preserving our First and Second Amendment rights rather than destroying them.
4. McCain has valuable experience both in military matters and in cutting through the tangle of Washington bureaucracy.

He also offers the future of Conservatism, governing experience and a new generation of leadership in the person of Sarah Palin. With McCain and Palin, we benefit not only from ‘country first’ but ‘freedom first’! Together, they represent change through evolution not revolution.

Barack Hussein Obama understands none of these things. To the contrary, he is dedicated to a radical restructuring of our economy and our society. He believes in failed European systems of government, looks to foreign powers for guidance and would gut the military, placing our national security in the hands of others. He has never accomplished anything of significance besides running for office.

Obama’s remark to [the now famous] ‘Joe The Plumber’ was very revealing and may go down as the greatest gaffe in political history: “We need to spread the wealth,” he said in response to ‘Joe’s’ question about debilitating taxes. The fact is that raising anyone’s taxes in the current economic climate would cause near instant disaster … but redistribution of wealth is part and parcel of his Marxist, nay, Stalinist influences and is an essential element in his grand design.

You will recognize, not only familiar techniques, but much of the specific language used in Obama’s speeches. The Obama media characterizes him as cool and calm. What I see is cold, calculating and passionless. He says the words but without feeling. He is a ‘pronouncer’ not a communicator. In Ohio, a federal district court judge has found Democrat Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner guilty of violating federal election laws by not taking adequate steps to validate the identity of newly registered voters. The ruling goes to the heart of the ACORN-centered voter fraud epidemic spreading across the country. It’s the second such judgment against Ohio’s Secretary of State. Members of the group’s “voter-mobilization arm,” Project Vote, regularly advise Brunner on election strategy, even recently issuing a news release claiming credit for Brunner’s directive restricting challenges to suspected fraudulent voter registrations.

This connection would be significant enough on its own, with the group finally admitting this week to their fraudulent registration activity in Ohio, but gives rise to even greater concern when you factor in South Side Barry’s long history with ACORN. Earlier, he represented the group as an attorney and “leadership trainer”; now, as a Senator, he has funneled at least $800,000 into their coffers for new voter registration. By the way, despite documentation to the contrary, Obama’s web site lies and denies any connection between “The Messiah” and these radicals, the same as it glosses over his alliances with other thugs and terrorists plotting the overthrow of our governmental system. ACORN is facing investigations in several Ohio counties as well as in 10 to 12 other states.

And what is the reaction to all this? I actually heard one ‘reporter’ at a major T.V. news network say, “Voter fraud only makes a difference in close elections and, if you look at the polls, this one is not shaping up to be a close election” therefore she “didn’t see what all the fuss is about”. WHAT???

First, will someone please explain to me exactly what has happened in America to our sense of values, ethics, morals, fair play and … oh yes, our system of laws and justice? Was this T.V. person serious or did she just bump her head on something?

Second, be it known to all media lackeys, campaign handlers, deranged advisors, political thugs and Socialist radicals with fewer brain cells than an amoeba: YOU do not decide our elections. POLLS do not decide our elections. LIERS, CHEATS and THIEVES do not decide our elections, not even Obama. I DO! I go to the little school down the block and I vote; other PEOPLE like me go there, too, and VOTE … concerned CITIZENS for the love of their families not the fat of their egos … WE DECIDE, not you!

All we ask is that nobody gets to exercise this right more than once per election. I, also, don’t want my vote canceled out by some poor soul who lives in a cardboard box and is voting [the way he was instructed] only because some ACORN nut offered him a cigarette!

As to the closeness of this election, we’ll know that the morning of November 5th and not before. We’ll also learn just how good Americans are at facing factual reality and we’ll have to live with that revelation for half to three-quarters of a decade … maybe longer. That’s what all the fuss is about and why someone’s history and judgment make a difference, no matter how many times you register.

The sketch was right ‘on-the-money’ and readily available all over the Internet until last night when it suddenly vanished … from everywhere. Someone had enough juice to get it pulled across the web and you can bet it wasn’t Republicans. If this is what we can expect from a Democrat Regime and an Obama presidency, you’d better start cherishing your vote right now, along with your First Amendment rights! I know I will, because our freedom of speech is vanishing at only a slightly slower rate than the SNL video or the value of stocks on Wall Street.

When you try to ‘Google’ the skit, there’s an explanation that it is “no longer available”. Fortunately, people like Michelle Malkin had the foresight and took the time to post a full transcript and screenshots on her web site. I’ve turned the disclaimer into a link to Michelle’s site so you can form your own opinion as to why it was pulled and, perhaps, by whom.

I have a distinct feeling the disappearance of this funny, on-target bit of satire gives new meaning to the old advertising phrase, “Reach out and touch someone!”

The first was discussed in my earlier post: The vast majority of Americans didn’t want this blatant squandering of our tax money and the same bunch responsible for helping create the problem is now in charge of fixing it.

The second element is more subtle and, admittedly, I have no evidence except for logic that it is in play as strongly as I suspect. But think about this: What other event occurred around the same time as the passage of the pork bill? Obama surged ahead in the polls! In fact if you check the record, every time the polls show Obama down, the stock market is up; when he’s showing a rise, the market falls … sometimes drastically.

Forget that he voted to increase taxes on people earning $42,000 plus and focus on his promise to raise taxes on bigger fish making $250,000 or more, as well as double the capital gains tax. Who falls into that bracket and would get crushed to the tune of thousands, or hundreds of thousands, or even millions of dollars? Wall Street brokers and most large investors, that’s who! Could we be witnessing a pre-Obama recessionary effect on the Stock Market? Is this a preview of what we can expect should Obama be elected? Heck, If I stood to lose heavily under a Democrat regime I’d pull my money out of Wall Street, too … and fast!

The third element presents a more positive picture … sort of. Even though what turns out to be at least $804 billion will be cast upon the four winds, political types responsible for this travesty are now saying it will take time for the effect to take hold. The good news is, they are right about the overall economy righting itself. Unfortunately, by the time that happens, free market forces will have corrected it naturally. As for my Obama theory, only we can correct that on November 4th.

So the bad news is, we didn’t need the bailout pork bill after all. Well, that’s not quite true. We could use a few new millionaires in Washington. The current crop is dying off and you can’t take it with you … it burns!
