Roger Scott Francis is first and foremost a Reagan Conservative, then a Republican. He believes in God, Country and service to both. He is for strict interpretation of the Constitution, as written by our founding fathers, and believes in peace through strength. Roger feels that America is the greatest nation ever to grace the earth; therefore, looking to other countries for guidance in matters of law or lifestyle is self-defeating.
Marriage, in his opinion, should be between a man and woman but with equal rights for everyone. On abortion, he believes in a woman’s right to choose, as well as a man’s, but before conception. He welcomes immigrants to America but when it comes to illegals says, “Send them back to fill out the paperwork and get in line”. Ask Roger about man-made global warming and he’ll detail a man-made global hoax.
He is a proponent of low taxes, limited government and believes the primary, if not exclusive purpose of government, is to protect the nation and keep its people safe. He feels that no one knows better than you what is best for you; that entitlement programs rob people of their dignity, self-respect and eventually their ambition.
The headspinning Left turn toward European Socialism in our country is of grave concern and he is in the process of researching material for his new book, “Democrat: Amerika’s Socialist Party.”
Roger served in the military for 6 years, was an active politician, spent several years as a radio talk host, worked with the R.N.C. in 2004 and would have looked forward to doing it again in 2008 if there had been a serious Conservative candidate in the running. His wife and 4 children are all partners in his passion and he enjoys sharing an occasional strong opinion with you.
