New View Of More Than A Few

Our Flag - Not YoursThere was a time when only a beautiful woman could send chills up and down my spine. Now you can add Washington politicians or anyone trapped in the trance-like undertow of Obama monomania. Rest assured, however, these are very different chills — more like the ones that ran my backbone as a kid, when the alien found frozen in a glacier thawed out in “The Thing From Another World”.

In a conversation the other day with a friend, who also happens to be a Left-leaning liberal Democrat, he informed me that if I expect “to continue saluting the Stars and Stripes,” I’d better “readjust my context” and start supporting ‘H’ (he said Obama). I know he’s a Left-leaning liberal Democrat because he consistently passes all the tests for this designation with flying colors: He lives in a Utopian bubble, is generally uninformed or ill-informed and denies being either Left Wing, Liberal or a Democrat.

My horror was not generated so much by his statement as by his reasoning. I’m afraid it is an attitude afflicting an ever increasing number of contemporary Americans and which plays directly to the radical Socialist agenda currently being crammed down our throats by elected officials. He reasoned that I had no right to pay honor to the flag if I didn’t support the administration because “our flag represents the government!” Let me repeat that for any Founding Fathers who may have missed it because of the sound vibrations generated while shuddering in their graves. My friend said that “our flag represents the government!”

Flag Raising At Iwo JimaFor now and all time let me say, emphasize, decree or otherwise bellow from the hilltops, housetops and tabletops to Socialist sheep, greedy Capitalists and ideologues of all persuasions that our Stars and Stripes represent many things — freedom, liberty, hope, pride, prosperity, strength, success, our people, God’s grace, brave sacrifices, victory over oppression, triumph over tyranny and numerous other blessings — but our flag does not, and was never intended to, represent this pack of pitiful partisans or any other government!

Some would argue that the people are the government and they would be right, according to original design and intent; but increasingly, as the United States Constitution is treated as merely a list of really neat suggestions, it becomes a truth that is less self-evident. We must not and cannot let my friend’s misguided point of view prevail. He is old enough to know better but most of our children are not. It falls to us, as patriotic Americans, to counter the perverse, agenda-driven rantings of Liberal educators and teach future generations about liberty, freedom and the true meaning of our flag. They must learn that America is not the problem but the solution. They must learn about the perils of tyranny as well as the price of freedom before it is lost or simply relinquished through ignorance and misinformation.

The next time you see our Stars and Stripes feel free to salute and sing of all for which that banner truly stands, until your voice is hoarse, your throat is raw and your breath is gone. Remember you are saluting something far greater than government — far greater than self. The government was created to salute you. Hussein and Pelosi, Reid and the rest were elected to serve you. We have spent too much time peering through the wrong end of the telescope and now the time has come to turn it around!

Pelosi’s Pork Roll

So the unstimulus bill passed the House of Unrepresentatives tonight, marking the first step toward the biggest pig-feed in world history. I’m please to report that every Republican plus 12 Democrat patriots had their heads screwed on straight and stood strongly against the measure. Unfortunately, 242 Democrat turncoats voted in favor of government control rather than upholding the will of the American people.

You Want it? You’ve Got It!

History or Halloween?I was going to do a lighter piece today on the transition of Mish Obama’s wardrobe from human lava lamp to dining room drapes — but in just two days, her hubby has already done so much damage to America’s future, I feel I owe my readers at least a brief comment.

First of all, “I told you so”. In case you don’t remember, all of my posts are still accessible. Secondly, implementation of his radical Leftist agenda has begun even sooner than I feared and this is only the tip of the iceberg. “H” has already signed executive orders to close Gitmo with no plan for the disposition of prisoners, to reverse congressional approval of offshore drilling, to pull out of Iraq [in favor of getting bogged down in Afghanistan], and to ease privacy restrictions on past presidents so his Democrat cronies can persecute President Bush still further. Oh, don’t forget that trillion dollars in welfare payments just burning a hole in his pocket. Hey, anyone see our other two branches of government lately?

Well-l-l, to those who still want to “give him a chance” or who sucked up enough mind candy to support this charlatan in the first place, let your ignorance bring you bliss:

When you’re sitting at the pump in your little ‘green’ lawnmower with seats, fumbling for the last of your Barack-head pennies to put a drop of gas in your empty tank, and a terrorist sporting an AK47 knocks on your window, don’t panic just because gunshot wounds aren’t covered under the government health plan. You don’t even need to worry about missing work; you haven’t had a job for months — but you got your CHANGE!

The Beginning Of An Error

Joker Is WildIt is difficult to watch as the greatest nation on earth is brought to its knees by the blindness of its own mind-numbed people. Most still don’t get it, as today we install a dangerous cartoon character into the most powerful office in America. Delivering his post election decrees from that big chair behind his pre-presidential desk, Barack Hussein Obama (henceforth known in these parts as “H”) reminds me of a little kid playing dress-up with daddy’s or mommy’s clothes. Today he starts playing for real — for ‘keepsies’ and our future is in his left hand.

By the way, in case you’re wondering about the “H” thing, if they can call President Bush “W”, we can use “H” for South Side Barry: “H” for Hussein and “H” for the drugs that have, admittedly, been part of his life. Turnabout, after all, is fair play. In answer to the most asked question on the media’s tainted lips, during the inauguration I plan to be going about my usual routine, consciously avoiding the spectacle marking the beginning of the end of life in our country as we know it.

They’re not only installing an incompetent thug into the oval office but, it would seem, something of a psychopath as well, overshadowing even Napoleon himself. Our first hint should have been his building of a Grecian temple in the middle of a football field to deliver a speech to campaign worshipers. Next he thought he was F.D.R., then John F. Kennedy — but when the reality of comparing the Obamas with the Kennedys was obviously closer to a comparison of the Jeffersons with the Waltons, he became Abraham Lincoln!

Somebody please explain to me the logic behind flying to Philadelphia in order to take a train to Washington, D.C., taking his oath on the Lincoln bible or spending $170 million on his inauguration in a recessed economy, even as he preaches sacrifice to ordinary mortals. He is not Kennedy, he is not Roosevelt, nor is he Lincoln. He’s not even Obama — but merely a persona created by his publicists and the media arm of the Democrat Party. He hasn’t done ANYTHING yet! His crowning achievement is buying the White House, mostly with contributions from America’s enemies. This kid is kind of missing a step here: actually BEING president!

I keep hearing Marxist supporters say, “Give him a chance.” and “Wish him success.” Give him a chance to do what — destroy our health care system, American industry and the economy; redistribute wealth from the productive to the lazy and jeopardize our national security? As for success,”H” must fail to fulfill his plans if we are to survive as a nation. His are not the plans needed for a free country during wartime or in times of economic strife. He and other communistic types like Madam Pelosi, who even now is attempting to consolidate all possible legislative power into her own hands, must be resisted with every fiber of our being.

Today is indeed historic, not because we are inaugurating the first Black president, but because it may be the first of the last days for The Free Republic of America. Today may herald the end of the Capitalist system which has provided us with the greatest prosperity in the history of the world and the end to our precious liberty, for which so many millions have sacrificed and died during the past two-and-a-quarter centuries. Today “H” will begin his administration with a lie as he swears to uphold, protect and defend the Constitution of The United States, when he actually believes it is a flawed document and wants it rewritten beginning with the First and Second Amendments.

Today, my stars and stripes fly at half-staff, in memory of what has been and in fear of what is yet to come. God bless our country and awaken those who slumber in ignorance.
