Barack Hussein Obama is once again proving you can take the boy out of the slum but you can’t take the slum out of the boy. He was supposed to be a candidate that could rise above petty differences but has turned out to be just a common street thug who has managed to infuse a hefty dose of gutter-sniping and old time Chicago Machine politics into, of all places, the presidential campaign. He has no more respect for the office he seeks than he has understanding of what our country is about or the things that made it great.
With his recent ad distorting the state of John McCain’s health, Obama has managed to redefine ‘cheap shot’, blending a mixture of lies and misinformation with the lowest form of personal attack I’ve seen in nearly forty years of political game watching. It may have been produced with outside ’soft money’ but South Side Barry’s fingerprints are all over it, right down to the exaggerated Photoshop-enhanced scar on McCain’s face.
For the sake of clarity, let me first of all state that the physician being depicted as a cancer authority is not an oncologist or even a dermatologist but an internist. He is also the head of Doctors For Obama, hardly the fountain of objectivity as he tries to portray. He carefully states, “The chances of surviving melanoma once it spreads through your body are very, very slim”. What he does not say is that this is not the case with John McCain and, in fact, once you are nine years out from the episode as is McCain, there is a less than 1% chance of reoccurrence. Qualified physicians have stated that Senator McCain is in good condition and see no reason why he would have any problem fulfilling a four or even eight year term as President. By the way, did you notice the vitality in his 96 year old mother? Not a bad gene pool!
On the other hand, while McCain has released several thousand pages of medical records, ‘The Messiah’ has released only one sketchy document. What is HE hiding? His heavy smoking habit and history of admitted cocaine use actually make Obama’s likelihood of health related issues during the next few years much greater than McCain’s!
When will we demand to see Obama’s most recent chest x-rays, blood tests and E.K.G.s? Has he suffered lung, stomach, cardiovascular or other common damage from his smoking addiction? What are his current chances for heart attack, ulcers, stroke or emphysema? What damage has occurred to Barack’s nasal passages and internal organs from the inhalation of cocaine? It’s not a legal drug, where did he buy his supply and aren’t there legal penalties for such purchases? Has he ever sold or supplied the drug to others? Is he still using? He’s still smoking! What other substances has he tried and what toll have they taken on his mind and body? Has he been tested for Sickle Cell disease, which can be both common and fatal in people of African ancestry?
What about Biden’s health? He’s certainly no kid anymore and has a long history of serious medical problems including a pulmonary embolus and two brain aneurysms. John McCain may actually be a better health risk than Obama and Biden put together! Before they start throwing stones, the Democrat pretenders had better break out a mirror and be sure no one in there is liable to be hit with one.
What do you say news media? Are you going to do your job and ask the real questions…or are you so ‘in the tank’ for Obama that you wouldn’t mind having (Gulp!) Nancy Pelosi for your president?
