He’s arrogant, self-serving, hard-headed and won’t take advice. He doesn’t learn from mistakes, has terrible economic policies, is out of touch and doesn’t seem to care about common people. He is elitist, has sold out to special interest groups, is not trustworthy and can’t complete a sentence without a written text. This is how the Left has painted George W. Bush for nearly eight years. Ironically, it also describes Barack H. Obama to a tee! Both men also profess strong religious influence in their lives…at least a venial sin if you’re a Liberal.
As the election draws closer, Democrats are trying to convince us that a McCain presidency would be the same as electing George Bush for a third term. But wait a minute. Is it possible that Obama would be a more likely Bush clone than John McCain? If we are to believe the President’s typical media image, their policies may differ drastically but not the way they approach the job.
Mr. Bush has frequently followed his own beliefs rather than advice from his advisers. He has been able to do that because The President has a central core of guiding principles from which to draw and, despite constant pressure from the Left and their media cronies, he has never played the victim. No country needs a leader who is a victim. Victims don’t lead; they’re too busy licking their wounds and as comedian Rodney Dangerfield used to say, “They don’t get no respect”. Try to picture ‘Bama leaving an unsuccessful meeting with dangerous Iranian leaders, explaining his failure to the world by reasoning, “Because they didn’t like me”!
Obama…in fact both Obamas…have been whining about their victimhood from the beginning. “I don’t look like those other presidents on the dollar bills”, “I don’t look like other Americans who have come here to speak”, “They’re going to try to tell you I have a funny name“, “This is the first time I’ve been proud of my country”, “He’s not the same guy I used to know”, “They’re going to try making you afraid of me by telling you I’m a risk”. Woe-is-me!
The problem with Obama is not that he looks different or is stubborn, has no core values or even that he’s a perpetual victim. The problem with Obama is that he’s a Socialist; a card carrying Marxist. He unquestionably represents change…and that’s about all we’ll have left in our pockets if he ever gets the chance to implement his economic fantasies.
As a Conservative, John McCain would not have been my first choice for the Republican candidate. If you’ve been reading my posts you know why. You also know that McCain has a long history of being guided by strong principles and heartfelt beliefs, not poll numbers. He will not only work to keep us safe but represents our best chance of still being able to recognize the free Republic we call America four years from now. Maybe instead of radical solutions, all we really need is McChange! Think about it.
