The energy this country spends getting in her own way would better be invested against those who would threaten her. America is dying of self-inflicted wounds. What has happened to our pride and purpose? It seems we would rather follow the easy road to tyranny than do the work required to stay on the path of liberty and freedom.
We have a black candidate for president who has consorted with a violent criminal known to have bombed government buildings and a racist activist with a history of hateful statements demeaning Jews and Whites. He has been reluctant to reject these people, or their endorsements, and has failed to explain such relationships. His wife recently stated she only now feels pride in her country and has previously written of the need for Blacks to “join in solidarity to combat a white oppressor“. Another candidate is a female chameleon who has sold her soul in her quest for power and wears so many masks that her true identity is veiled even in her own mirror. Both candidates would replace the democratic foundations that have made our country great with failed Socialist programs which portend only social and economic decline. Yet these charlatans receive blind, enthusiastic support because it’s easier for us to let government bureaucrats minister to our needs than it is to take responsibility for ourselves. We have become fat and lazy.
We have allowed the media to shape our thoughts, third rate countries to form our policies and hack politicians to dictate our lives on everything from self-fulfilling prophecy about a failing economy to the elaborate hoax that accuses us of destroying our own planet.
Americans have forgotten the lessons of 9/11 even in the shadow of continuing terrorist threats and seek magical answers to dangerous questions because, except for a handful of selfless patriots fighting for freedom in The Middle East, we at home don’t have the stomach to defend what is rightfully ours. Instead of stopping the flow of invaders, we offer incentives for illegals to come streaming into our country and even consider legislation to eliminate our borders with Mexico and Canada entirely!
The first and second amendments are under attack, God is being removed from the public square, our children are being taught twisted history and huge chunks of our nation’s economy are being mortgaged to foreign powers. The American way of life is being subverted by enemies both foreign and domestic.
In November we’re not voting for a rock star, electing a war hero or crowning Miss Congeniality. We are voting for a President. The time has come to rediscover common sense and get out of our own way, if future generations are to enjoy the freedom and prosperity with which “we the people” have been so richly blessed but now seem so willing to relinquish so foolishly.
