Surrender Vote

Previously I have questioned not only Democrat judgment but, unlike many, their patriotism as well. Now, I add serious questions about their humanity to the list. Their willingness to play political ‘chicken’ with the lives of our brave men and women in battle is unconscionable.

With the passage by both the House and Senate of the Iraq Surrender Bill, which Democrats knew could not be signed by The President, the picture of who they really are more fully emerges. The Senate could not have passed the measure except for two despicable RINOs, Republicans Gordon Smith of Oregon and Chuck Hagel of Nebraska, who chose to vote with the Left against the military and stab our troops in the back. This disgraceful duo continually abandons the people they are supposed to represent and both desperately need voting out of office. I salute Joe Lieberman as a patriot. He voted for the troops.

Instead of sending forward a ‘clean’ bill that addressed only the necessary funding for Iraq and Afghanistan, this scheming horde of defeatists loaded it with billions in pork and tax increases. Then, for good measure, they set cut and run deadlines. This was done with full awareness of our troops’ critical needs and certain knowledge that the measure would be D.O.A. They even took a recess in mid-debate to delay the process yet further. Now they’re dragging their feet, again, trying to time the bill’s inevitable veto with the fourth anniversary of President Bush’s “mission accomplished” praise for the dazzling efforts of our troops in defeating the Iraqi army.

You may recall my previous statements about the Liberal Democrats’ total investment in defeat. As if to prove it, last week Harry Reid pronounced the war lost [see 4/25/07 post "Reid Must Go"]. At the same time, he remarked to a colleague, “We’re going to get some votes out of this”. Today, Dirty Harry is trying to shift the blame for any lack of troop funding onto our President, clearly the scenario that was designed from the start.

Meanwhile, as these callous jackals maneuver for their own self interest, we have sons, daughters, husbands and wives being placed further in harm’s way because the funds to support them are still tangled in Democrat gamesmanship. All those playing have American blood on their hands. Thanks to the twisted ambition of Reid, Pelosi, Biden, Schumer, et al, our front-line military has to improvise by using old, outdated weaponry and their daily survival depends upon their ability to make do or do without.

Reid Must Go!

Reid GesturesWhat a team! House Madam Pelosi travels the world encouraging the terrorists and Little Harry Reid speaks out from the Senate handing them victory. Congratulations Presidents Ahmadinejad, Assad and Mr. al-Sadr of Baghdad. You have two powerful allies. What’s more, they have many equally stupid followers.

Yes, Reid actually said it, This war is lost, and the surge is not accomplishing anything. One article I read talked about our dull-witted Senate Majority leader approaching treason with his remarks. Like Pelosi’s actions, Reid’s remarks passed treasonous a long time ago. Furthermore, he made his comments knowing full well every indication shows the opposite is true. I now raise my voice, alongside Rush Limbaugh and several others, who have called for his resignation. I further suggest prosecution. We’re at war!

They say Little Harry was a boxer. I have to wonder what size mice he was matched with and how many times they hit him in the head. I, also, wonder when we will have Americans in the House and Senate once again, instead of these poor excuses for legislators who abandon our troops, badmouth MY COUNTRY and throw their support behind those who would destroy her.

Poli-Tech

The only thing more shocking and reprehensible than the cold-blooded murder of 33 Virginia Tech students last week was the immediate politicizing of this horrific event by Democrat sharpshooters and their allies in the liberal media. Many have chosen to use this tragic act as yet another excuse to dredge up all the old gun control arguments instead of looking at the real causes of a deranged shooter being able to snuff out these innocent lives.

First of all he was, in fact, deranged. I refuse to even use his name and provide the fame, glorification or add in any way to the publicity he sought. Guns are not inherently evil, anymore than box cutters are and I don’t recall anyone trying to legislate away the right to own a box cutter, even after the hijacking of aircraft with that item on 9/11. It’s not the implement but the user of that implement that presents the evil. With enough motivation any object can be turned into a lethal weapon. In fact, crimes are stopped with guns about five times as frequently as crimes are commited with guns. I know of no such statistic for box cutters, knives or hatchets. Most of us can obtain or use these items freely and their possession isn’t even guaranteed by our Constitution.

It was a failure of people, including the killer, not an availability of guns that allowed this to happen. Let me say for the record that, while I support second amendment rights, I am not advocating hands-off gun control. The facts in this instance show the shooter had a diagnosed history of mental illness, including physician documentation of his danger to others as well as himself. Yet nothing was done by either school or civil officials to monitor his actions or remove him from the campus. All of his classmates said he was strangely quiet and withdrawn, yet none of them brought this to the attention of authorities. His writings in class were bizarre but neither teacher nor student raised a red warning flag. He stalked and threatened two girls, yet remained free to wander about, plan and finally execute his bloody act. If he couldn’t buy a gun he surely would have found some other method of implementation. There are plenty of guns for sale illegally and, in fact, this is the more usual source of arms for someone intending to commit a crime. Most murderers don’t go down to the local police department, fill out paperwork and go through a waiting period.

Blame guns, school officials, other students, civil authorities, video games, doctors at the mental facility [where he was briefly committed], the laws that kept his privacy or the ones which allowed him to return to Virginia Tech as a ticking human time bomb; blame anything or anyone you like. The simple fact is he was a sick individual who slipped through the proverbial cracks. Then do we simply dismiss it? Of course not; we must learn from it. What can we do to prevent this kind of thing in the future? Probably nothing. But we can discourage the frequency of such incidents by withholding the publicity that seems to accompany them, by being more aware of and reporting aberrant behavior and by more strictly enforcing weapons laws already on the books. A little more concern for public safety and a little less P.C. might not be a bad idea either. If everyone had been more concerned about this desparate individual’s danger potential and less concerned about his ethnicity or about hurting his self image, 33 young people might still be walking the campus of Virginia Tech. His self-image was already about as low as it could go and we don’t need to relinquish second amendment rights merely to satisfy the agenda driven needs of a political party.

Hyphens

You know how kind kids can be. Especially if there’s something different about another kid, that’s when their kindness really shines through. Remember when a new kid came to school? Everyone made him feel so welcome you just wanted to cry. In fact, a lot of those new or different kids did cry.

It seems to me that same sort of ‘kindness’ is still alive and well, right alongside the kid in all of us. You don’t even need an infirmity, a two point I.Q. or a different skin color; you can be just as different if you’re too brainy, beautiful or a little taller. Whatever the offending characteristic, it stifles the fuller acceptance most of us naturally crave. So, if we’re really looking for acceptance, and not just testing people’s kindness quotient, why do we work so hard at emphasizing differences instead of pointing to the things we have in common?

I watched a group on television a few nights ago as they discussed fallout from the Imus faux pas. The conversation quickly turned to Rap music and other demeaning cultural phenomena. It wasn’t the subject matter as much as its presentation that caught my attention. The group talked about African-Americans, Latino-Americans, Native-Americans and one fellow actually made all the tiny hairs on the back of my neck stand straight up, when he mentioned European-Americans. For a second I didn’t know what that was. Then, I realized it was my classification! Or was it? I never thought of myself that way before, any more than I think of my friends as wearing some self-deceptive label. I am an American, just an American, no hyphen! Gary is an American whose skin happens to be brown. Chin is an American whose beautiful eyes have the slightly curved hint of a smile at the corners. I have tall friends, short friends, fat friends, skinny friends, mocha friends, friends who are pink and even a few stupid friends. But we’re all just Americans and we fit together nicely, no Hyphens.

This hyphenation foolery is the most divisive load of bull droppings man ever loaded into his luggage. In marriage, I’ve rarely seen a Cynthia Waldon-Numnutz not wind up with a terrific lawyer and more than half of everything poor John Numnutz ever owned. However, I have known several John and Cindy Numnutzes with long, loving relationships. It’s harder to work together when you’re divided by a dash. We live in the United States. I don’t see a hyphen in there but I wonder if some people mentally insert one anyway. In the larger sense, I understand pride in one’s heritage, even though I’ve been known to list my own ancestry as ‘mutt’. Where your ancestors originated may be interesting but that doesn’t define you. It defines them. Look back, if you must, but don’t stare.

Which sounds like more of a good time: Going to a party where you’ll be meeting a German-American, an Anglo-American, an African-American and two Italian-Americans or going to a party where there’s just a bunch of really great people having fun? Same people, different attitude. Personally, I don’t care where anybody’s great, great grandparents came from, as long as I don’t have to drive them home. I’ll guarantee if you’re Black and go to Mozambique, you won’t be welcomed as someone’s African-American friend. You’ll be their friend from America, who doesn’t speak the language.

A lot of people, these days, lose track of Martin Luther King’s real dream. It wasn’t to have a colorful group of hyphens dragging through life, hoping that some other colorful group of hyphens will agree to like them or be legislated into treating them respectfully. It was about a world where skin color isn’t noticed in the first place; where, more than just being equal, we are one. By the way, that holds true for religion and nationality as well. Want pride? Appreciate where you are and what you have. It’s rare. Feel pride in being an American. For my money, truly accepting people is way more important than worrying about not offending them or making sure their self esteem is polished. So much for ‘P.C.’ Maybe what we need is a little more T.S. [thick skin].

I’m not certain how we got off course but we need to stop pointing to the differences and start embracing our common bonds, if we are ever again be the cohesive, productive society forged by the immigrants who built this great nation. They came from everywhere to be Americans, they came legally, and the only entitlement they received was opportunity. They had no hyphens. Until we get rid of ours, the best we can hope for is being subject to the kindness of those other kids on the playground. The neighborhood is changing and you know how kind kids can be.

Imus In The Mourning

Don Imus On Sharpton PgmLast week, so called ’shock jock’ Don Imus directed an ill-fated attempt at his brand of humor toward the Rutgers University girls basketball team. He referred to them as “nappy-headed hos”. That remark got him fired by the NBC news department and from his CBS radio show. It also earned him a merciless drubbing by, of all life forms, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Unlike most people, who either fear Sharpton’s wrath or need to ease their own guilt by throwing Imus under the train, I don’t consider the comment to be racial. I simply consider it wrong. It was also stupid but that sort of patter has been his bread and butter for 35 years and everybody knows it, just like everybody knows that Sharpton’s bread and butter is creating racial division, unrest and disharmony. At least Imus has always been an equal opportunity offender. I’m sure it’s not the first time this has happened to him; the only difference is, on those other occasions, he probably experienced a little foreplay first.

Rutgers Women BasketballThe ‘offended’ parties are being portrayed as poor, defenseless little black girls who have been horribly set upon by this nasty, old white bigot. I would hasten to point out that there are also white girls on the Rutgers team, who seem to have been politically pushed to the back of the bus. I don’t hear anyone speaking out on their behalf. It’s particularly disturbing to realize that none of these girls would have even been aware of the unfortunate characterization if ‘Nappy Sharpton’ and the lynch-mob media had not brought it to everyone’s attention with their usual, cheap, half-court shot. In my opinion, it wasn’t Imus who inflicted pain upon these girls but, rather, the race-baiting Rev. Sharpton and his allies in the left wing media. By the way, where is the American Criminal Liberals Union [aka A.C.L.U.] in all of this? I thought they were supposed to be concerned with first amendment rights and things like that. Doesn’t Imus have any of those? Swish!

I never cared for his program and I certainly do not condone what he said but that’s what he does. I read a quote from some dimwitted professor who said Imus might have been forgiven for the comment but that he “had a history of making similar remarks”. That’s not true. Imus had a career of making similar remarks. Asking him to do anything different would be like asking Donald Trump to get out of real estate or Katherine Zeta Jones not to be sexy. Why is everyone suddenly so surprised? Imus is the legendary broadcaster who pioneered the raucous, full of yuks style of morning program and made it all the way to the Broadcasting Hall of Fame with his irreverence. Behind the prankster is, not a bigot, but a man dedicated to helping youngsters through extensive charity work and who donates large portions of his salary to helping underprivileged youth. Through the years, his controversial comments earned millions for his employers and sponsors. In gratitude, these same people just stampeded the other way when he could have used some support.

The scary thing to me is not just that Imus was railroaded but who drove the train. Since when are the likes of Rev. Sharpton and Rev. Jackson the arbiters of what people can and can’t say? [I've always wondered which matchbook cover published the number they called to claim those designations]. Given Sharpton’s track record of lies, deceit and inflammatory remarks as well as Jackson’s anti-semitism, these are the last two bigots that should be preaching ethical or moral standards to anyone. The only standards they have are either double or none at all! The not-so-reverend Al marches over the bodies of his followers for his own self interest, keeping them downtrodden and dependent so he can continue to goose-step over them again and again. Now ‘Nappy’ is trying to control others of us in the same way. Imus was covertly targeted by the left and these bozos are actually proud of chipping away yet another piece of our freedom.

Censorship, in any form, is dangerous. Who among us is qualified to decide what can be said, read or heard? Certainly not this little Black Napoleon. Certainly not the government; that happens in Russia, China or Nazi Germany, not America. In America, the free market must decide. If you don’t like a program, shut it off but don’t shut it down. If you disagree with a book, don’t read it but don’t burn it. If you’re offended by a picture or display, avert your eyes but don’t deprive others the right to see it. When enough people turn away, stop listening, don’t read it or cease to buy something, it will disappear of its own accord. In America we vote at the ballot box and we vote with our feet. When you start dictating and legislating things away, it becomes another place.

No, Don Imus shouldn’t have said what he said but neither should this have been a career-ending episode. He sincerely apologized and the young ladies at Rutgers accepted. It was Sharpton, not the girls, who called for his dismissal. Is ‘Nappy’ going after the Rappers now? They’re heard on the radio, too, but I’m betting he’ll measure their coarseness with a different yardstick. I don’t want anyone, least of all the gutter-mouth Sharptons of the world, dictating what is or is not acceptable. He says he’s looking out for “people of color”. Well, I’m a person of color. I’m pink and you know what? I can look out for myself just fine.

The Sound Of Silence

Since she sold out America last week, it’s almost magical the way a deafening silence has engulfed the despicable crimes of Nancy Pelosi. The only exceptions seem to be some occasional mental flatulence by the odd spin-doctor or recognized terrorist supporter Jimmy Carter. The most incompetent president in recent memory botched it badly in the 70s, doesn’t get it now and never will understand the nature of a sworn enemy. Forgetting all his domestic buffoonery, the holes in his foreign policy were only slightly smaller than the ones in House Madam Pelosi’s head, when she appointed herself Secretary of State, or President, or whomever she was supposed to be while handing our Islamo-Nazi adversaries a huge propaganda victory.

When are we going to see an investigative commission, a special prosecutor, criminal charges or, at least, hear an apology? It’s wartime and she has committed treasonous acts against America. At the very least, she seems in violation of the Logan Act. In brief, The Logan Act (18 U.S.C.A. § 953 [1948]) is a single federal statute making it a crime for a citizen to confer with foreign governments against the interests of the United States. Specifically, it prohibits citizens from negotiating with other nations on behalf of the United States without authorization. I repeat: It prohibits citizens, ANY CITIZENS, from negotiating with other nations on behalf of the United States WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION. If you have a pdf reader installed, you can read The Logan Act in its entirety.

Where are the special committees, the investigations? Where’s The Madam’s resignation? I’ll tell you where; stamped in blue ink on that “Get Out Of Jail Free” card that gives every radical Lib a ticket to ride. Are there any real Republicans left with something more than pudding for a spinal column? All I hear is silence. If President Bush had committed such a defiant, embarrassing atrocity, the Democrats would start impeachment proceedings and have his head on a stick before you could say, “By George”! Does anyone in Washington still represent the people of the United States? This one’s real! They don’t even need to resort to fabrication like the Left does time after time after time. I just hear silence.

When you pass a pork bill, which also includes the largest tax increase in history [400 billion dollars] and provide a predetermined surrender date, instead of providing body and vehicle armor for our combat troops, it sends an emboldening message to our enemies. Follow that up with a disasterous visit from some yenta, undermining your country’s foreign policy with a few of the bloodiest terrorist leaders in the world, and you spell out weakness with a capital “W”. That’s exactly what The Madam meant to do and that’s exactly what happened. It’s just the beginning. Remember, the Democrats are heavily invested in the defeat of America.

If you think the impunity with which Iran kidnapped 15 British sailors, Ahmadinejad’s defiance of demands to halt his nuclear program or the flag burning parade of thousands of al-Sadr sponsored Shiites in Iraq had nothing to do with the subversive activity of Pelosi, Reid and their Democrat rabble, think again! Remember, Muqtada al-Sadr is the Syrian-Iranian backed anti-American who runs Baghdad, terrorist training camps, sniper schools and all. He may be a thug but he’s not stupid.  He recognizes opportunity when she knocks.

In the past several days we’re beginning to see headlines, again, of escalated terror attacks in other countries. Lack of national resolve by Democrats and limp-wristed Republicans in congress, combined with disgraceful actions like The Madam’s unauthorized international blundering, have led the Islamo-Nazis to believe the United States won’t act, even in our own defense. Are they right?  If they are, and Osama Bin Laden correctly stated that we “don’t have the stomach for war”, then we’re next…again!

There are consequences for inaction as well as action. Madam Pelosi needs to face consequences for her damaging, illegal actions and our representatives need to begin placing our Country’s interest ahead of their self-interest. If they don’t, we’ll all be facing some rather unpleasant consequences of our own, very soon.

The Traveling Madam

Pelosi Terrorist Endorsements

Pelosi and al-AssadInstead of a bigger airplane just buy her a pink Cadillac with red velour seats, because the ‘The House Madam’ is on the road again. This time, her irresponsible trip to the Middle East has Nancy Pelosi creating disaster from the cradle of terrorism. She’s carrying the wrong message at the wrong time to America’s enemies, an unwitting pawn in their dangerous game of international chess. In typical Democrat fashion, she has mistaken it for a friendly game of checkers. They don’t have much use for P.C. in Syria or the rest of that region and she is, after all, not even a goat or a camel. No, Madam Pelosi is merely an infidel woman from the ‘great Satan’, which they have sworn on a stack of Korans to obliterate at their earliest opportunity. Does she really expect these Islamo-Nazi thugs to take her seriously? On a scale of 1 to 10, her sphincter factor has now risen to 12! Her damage to our country’s foreign policy, further endangerment of Americans and result of emboldening appeasement messages can easily be observed as she receives enthusiastic endorsement from the terrorists. The Madam, and her fellow Democrat dupes, are a disgrace to this nation and have become the strongest weapon in the terrorists’ arsenal.

It’s not the first time these Stalinist Liberals have tried to short-circuit United States foreign policy by aligning themselves with our enemies. Look at Ted Kennedy consulting with the former Soviet Union during The Cold War, advising them how to defeat President Reagan’s winning strategies, or Jimmy Carter’s close ties with Yasser Arafat [not to mention the Democrats' embracing of Castro, Ho Chi Min and now Chavez]. The bone in their heads that prioritizes America ahead of madmen, tyrants and dictators seems to be missing. This time, the defiant diva even took along a couple of RINOs so she could look respectable during the photo-ops, which will be used as future propaganda against our country, along with her misguided, ill-conceived words and deeds.

First of all, let me remind you that her trip was contrary to national policy, all but forbidden by The President and discouraged by many of her colleagues in congress. She had no authority, whatsoever, to speak for this or any other government. Foreign policy is set by the Executive branch of our government, not the Legislative, and current policy is not to negotiate with terrorists orpelosi-in-hijab.jpg terrorist supporting nations. If you disagree, you wait your turn in office and change it; you don’t arbitrarily subvert it. Madam Pelosi has conveyed dangerous misinformation, not only about America’s intentions, but has even managed to undermine the foreign policy of Israel! By publicly wearing a certain piece of ‘offending’ Muslim headgear [known as a hijab] she even managed to set the Syrian women’s movement back about twenty years. With this, and her other failures since taking over Speaker’s duties in ‘The House’, there’s no telling to what extent The Madam has stifled women’s executive opportunities in this country.

Upon her return, Madam Pelosi should be made to suffer serious consequences for her treason. Yes I said TREASON! We are at war, and if you haven’t figured it out yet, not just the battle in Iraq. We are at war with terrorists and terrorist states; that includes genocidal nutjobs like Bashar al-Assad, with the blood of thousands on his hands. You don’t just sachet up to a guy like this at the bar and say, “Hey big boy, can I buy you a drink?” Terrorists have repeatedly attacked us overseas at embassies, military barracks and in episodes like the U.S.S. Cole. We have been disastrously attacked on our home soil at least twice, including 9/11. These barbarians continue to kill American soldiers on a daily basis, with Syria providing the means, and have murdered our citizens in cold blood both here and abroad. Pelosi has consorted with that enemy, offered them aid and comfort, provided them with propaganda to be used against our country and through her deplorable actions has, perhaps irreparably, weakened the United States’ position with enemies and allies alike.

Nothing will happen to her, of course, because she and other radical, far Left Democrats have made it fashionable to bash America, demoralize our troops, undermine the government, divide this nation, and mock our President along with other responsible officials. Thirty-five or forty years ago, she most likely would have been relieved of her responsibilities and even tried for treason or imprisoned. A hundred years before that, she would have been shot for such anti-American activity during wartime.

I don’t believe Pelosi, and the rest of her Lib supporters, fully understand the anger of the average citizen over this national disgrace. She has managed to top even the picture of John Kerry ‘making nice’ with Ho Chi Min and the photo of Hanoi Jane Fonda posing with the North Vietnamese at their anti-aircraft battery. If there’s a bright spot in any of this, it’s that America has needed a wakeup call to see just who the Democrats really are and where their allegiances lie. For them to be totally invested in defeat is one thing but acting upon it by supporting our sworn enemies, on the world stage, is quite another.

Upon her return, ‘House Madam’ Pelosi should be contrite, ashamed and apologetic but I don’t think she’s that smart or has enough conscience. Come to think of it, we don’t need to buy her a pink Cadillac with red velour seats. Her tacky upholstery is already showing.

An Inconvenient Reality

Gore In SnowI’ve tried to ignore this nonsense as long as possible but Monday’s decision by our run amok Supreme Court and the incredibly biased reporting by the world lynch-mob media have left me no choice. I have an inconvenient truth about global warming for Greenhouse Al Gore and the rest of those lemmings marching along behind him in lock step. There is none. Of course he knows that but he’s managing to sell his dangerous and costly agenda to a fickle segment of the public, in an attempt to attract enough attention for another White House run. We’re looking at the same retreaded crowd of nutjobs that was crying about global cooling in the 70’s. The new glacial age was going to wipe out the planet within ten years. Gee, we’re all here for the replays thirty years later. Two Newsweek articles from 1975 make it deja vu all over again. Give them each a glance and as you read, substitute the word ‘warming’ for ‘cooling’; you’ll hear the same old song and same tired lyrics, with the exception of that one word. Even before Gore got a hold of it, global temperature was a pretty shopworn subject. According to the Washington Times, people have been trying to make up their minds whether they’re too hot or too cold for a hundred years.

The concept of global warming is not a moral issue, certainly not a scientific issue and definitely not a judicial issue. It is a POLITICAL issue, nothing more, nothing less. Once again, by a vote of 5 to 4, our rogue Supreme Court has managed to further erode American liberty while everyone continues to look the other way. The Left already wants to tell us what kind of cars to drive, what sort of medical care we can have and what type of light bulbs to use in our homes. With Monday’s ruling by this freelancing, unelected branch of government, there is no end to the amount of regulation they can inflict upon our lives. It sounds innocent enough. The EPA is going to control levels of carbon dioxide. Hooray for the planet; but they’ve not only been told they can, they’ve been told they must! Hey, wait a minute. Does that make us pollutants? It sure does! We emit carbon dioxide when we breathe out. If you remember your biology, plants need to absorb CO2 to conduct photosynthesis which, in turn, gives off the oxygen we breath in. So, do we bump off some people, rip out a few shrubs or just regulate how often we exhale?

One danger is that the Liberal Dominated Supreme Court had no business meddling in this matter. It wasn’t their job, not according to The Constitution or any other authority. Once again, they’ve over stepped their bounds in a quest for power. A related danger is that more regulatory authority has been illegally provided to an agency of a government that is already too large and will grow ever larger as the Democrat Left gains ground. We have yet to realize all the repercussions from this decision. I’ve read that, “The court ruled against President Bush” and that, “President Bush suffered a stinging defeat.” Speaking of spin, this is bull pucky of the highest order! The President was not even part of this action and his administration was busy doing its own job, tending to necessary business, keeping us safe. The involvment here was confined to a few environmental wacko groups cluttering up the federal courts with frivolous matters, that didn’t belong there in the first place. Unfortunately, it provided the not so confined Men In Black with another opportunity to usurp additional power.

What concerns me further is that all this is over a nonexistent problem fabricated by a bunch of political hacks and losers, who simply need to get both a life and a conscience. The arrogance to think that man is significant enough, in the entire scheme of things, to affect this planet either way is absolutely monumental. If you aren’t big enough to break it, you’re too small to fix it. We just need to stop tinkering with the environment and everything will be just fine; it was before we got here and will be long after we’re gone. As for the global warming and cooling that does take place, it’s all part of a natural 1500 year cycle that has been going on, in varying degrees, since the beginning. Actually, the earth began to cool a little in 1998 so Greenhouse Al is running a little behind nature’s schedule. On the other hand, I’m certain the alternate reality he has managed to create is running quite precisely on schedule.

The honest truth isn’t hard to grasp but I’ll use small words and write slowly so you Libs can understand it. The sun is hot. It gives us heat. We’re going through a period right now when the sun is a little hotter and brighter than usual. There are even some extra large solar flares taking place. That makes us feel warm. Planets like Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are experiencing some warming and we haven’t even been there. [Maybe it's those little green guys]. There are only three things we can do:

  1. Wait until the earth gets cooler
  2. Take off your sweater
  3. Get one helluva big bucket of water and throw it at the sun [but then it will get too cold]

That’s the easy part. Other than holding another party and polluting some harbor with a lot of tea, the only thing we can do about the out of control judiciary or scheming politicians is to make certain we elect a Republican President in ‘08 who will appoint Constitutional Conservatives to the court. If a cut, run, surrender Democrat should capture the office instead, political ploys and global temperatures will be the very least of our problems.
