The good old double standard has flourished in politics for a long time, especially of late with most media fabricating rather than reporting news. However, creation of an alternate set of rules, by both the lynch-mob and self-serving politicians, points us toward a new and dangerous reality.
When Sandy Burglar gets a slap on the wrist for stuffing secret national defense documents down his pants, it’s dismissed as “sloppy”. When Congressman William Jefferson, Democrat Louisiana gets caught with $92,000 in marked bills in his freezer, everyone looks the other way. Whether it’s Harry Reid’s crooked land deals, Diane Feinstein’s conflicted favoritism or Chappaquiddick Ted’s career the Senate instead of in a prison laundry, justice seems to be blind only to the facts. Personally, my neck is getting sore from looking the other way and now we’re seeing the same non-standards being applied in the presidential race. Surprise!
Rudy becomes a magnet for questions about a woman’s “right to choose” but no one asks Hillary about her approval of the inhuman practice of partial birth abortions. In fact no one asks Hillary any tough questions. She won’t answer tough questions. But the one that really deep-fries me is the attacking of Mitt Romney’s Mormon faith while completely ignoring Barak Hussein Obama’s Muslim background.
First of all, would someone, please, explain to me what anyone’s religion has to do with being a good president? Okay, Romney can have more than one wife…he doesn’t. He believes in the Book Of Mormon…also the Holy Bible. I’ve even heard some say that the Mormon religion calls for overthrow of the American government. Maybe some radical sect does, I don’t know. What I do know is that Mitt Romney is a good man who lives a good family life and would, like many of the Republican candidates, be the kind of leader our country needs right now.
On the other hand, Obama was raised as a Muslim for his first eight years and went to Islamic schools. Wanna’ get paranoid? Suppose Barak Hussein is a plant? Suppose he has been groomed by Islamo-Fascists to take over America from within? Anyone see “The Manchurian Candidate” lately? I don’t recall any Mormons blowing up buildings recently! Do you see where you can take this kind of thing if you really want to get crazy?
With the 2008 election upon us, what we need to focus on is the man. Yes, I said the man. If half the country can’t take Hillary seriously, how can half the world? We need someone who is aggressive on national defense, strong on illegal immigration, savvy enough to keep our economy humming and who will appoint conservative judges, should the opportunity arise. After that, I don’t care where they stand on anything else.
If a Socialist appeaser like retread Hillary Clinton, media-made Barak Obama or the “Breck Girl” with his $400 haircuts should somehow get elected, you can kiss your coiffe goodbye. Issues like religion, abortion, stem cells, phony carbon footprints and the rest won’t matter. We won’t care about them; we’ll be too busy paying taxes, putting food on the table and trying to keep the Taliban off our front lawns.
