I’ve tried to ignore this nonsense as long as possible but Monday’s decision by our run amok Supreme Court and the incredibly biased reporting by the world lynch-mob media have left me no choice. I have an inconvenient truth about global warming for Greenhouse Al Gore and the rest of those lemmings marching along behind him in lock step. There is none. Of course he knows that but he’s managing to sell his dangerous and costly agenda to a fickle segment of the public, in an attempt to attract enough attention for another White House run. We’re looking at the same retreaded crowd of nutjobs that was crying about global cooling in the 70’s. The new glacial age was going to wipe out the planet within ten years. Gee, we’re all here for the replays thirty years later. Two Newsweek articles from 1975 make it deja vu all over again. Give them each a glance and as you read, substitute the word ‘warming’ for ‘cooling’; you’ll hear the same old song and same tired lyrics, with the exception of that one word. Even before Gore got a hold of it, global temperature was a pretty shopworn subject. According to the Washington Times, people have been trying to make up their minds whether they’re too hot or too cold for a hundred years.
The concept of global warming is not a moral issue, certainly not a scientific issue and definitely not a judicial issue. It is a POLITICAL issue, nothing more, nothing less. Once again, by a vote of 5 to 4, our rogue Supreme Court has managed to further erode American liberty while everyone continues to look the other way. The Left already wants to tell us what kind of cars to drive, what sort of medical care we can have and what type of light bulbs to use in our homes. With Monday’s ruling by this freelancing, unelected branch of government, there is no end to the amount of regulation they can inflict upon our lives. It sounds innocent enough. The EPA is going to control levels of carbon dioxide. Hooray for the planet; but they’ve not only been told they can, they’ve been told they must! Hey, wait a minute. Does that make us pollutants? It sure does! We emit carbon dioxide when we breathe out. If you remember your biology, plants need to absorb CO2 to conduct photosynthesis which, in turn, gives off the oxygen we breath in. So, do we bump off some people, rip out a few shrubs or just regulate how often we exhale?
One danger is that the Liberal Dominated Supreme Court had no business meddling in this matter. It wasn’t their job, not according to The Constitution or any other authority. Once again, they’ve over stepped their bounds in a quest for power. A related danger is that more regulatory authority has been illegally provided to an agency of a government that is already too large and will grow ever larger as the Democrat Left gains ground. We have yet to realize all the repercussions from this decision. I’ve read that, “The court ruled against President Bush” and that, “President Bush suffered a stinging defeat.” Speaking of spin, this is bull pucky of the highest order! The President was not even part of this action and his administration was busy doing its own job, tending to necessary business, keeping us safe. The involvment here was confined to a few environmental wacko groups cluttering up the federal courts with frivolous matters, that didn’t belong there in the first place. Unfortunately, it provided the not so confined Men In Black with another opportunity to usurp additional power.
What concerns me further is that all this is over a nonexistent problem fabricated by a bunch of political hacks and losers, who simply need to get both a life and a conscience. The arrogance to think that man is significant enough, in the entire scheme of things, to affect this planet either way is absolutely monumental. If you aren’t big enough to break it, you’re too small to fix it. We just need to stop tinkering with the environment and everything will be just fine; it was before we got here and will be long after we’re gone. As for the global warming and cooling that does take place, it’s all part of a natural 1500 year cycle that has been going on, in varying degrees, since the beginning. Actually, the earth began to cool a little in 1998 so Greenhouse Al is running a little behind nature’s schedule. On the other hand, I’m certain the alternate reality he has managed to create is running quite precisely on schedule.
The honest truth isn’t hard to grasp but I’ll use small words and write slowly so you Libs can understand it. The sun is hot. It gives us heat. We’re going through a period right now when the sun is a little hotter and brighter than usual. There are even some extra large solar flares taking place. That makes us feel warm. Planets like Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are experiencing some warming and we haven’t even been there. [Maybe it's those little green guys]. There are only three things we can do:
- Wait until the earth gets cooler
- Take off your sweater
- Get one helluva big bucket of water and throw it at the sun [but then it will get too cold]
That’s the easy part. Other than holding another party and polluting some harbor with a lot of tea, the only thing we can do about the out of control judiciary or scheming politicians is to make certain we elect a Republican President in ‘08 who will appoint Constitutional Conservatives to the court. If a cut, run, surrender Democrat should capture the office instead, political ploys and global temperatures will be the very least of our problems.
